It's a Viewsonic 20.1" widescreen near a geforce 6600 video card. DVD's look horrible on it and text looks fuzzy on every setting. I only downloaded Forceware from Nvidia and there is no noticable modification. What can I do to make primer sharper and pictures clearer?

i know this will be a pain, but try it on another computer. this path we can tell if it's the monitor or the video card. I own a feeling it's the monitor. While you enjoy the cable disconnected, check the pins. It's real uncomplicated to bend one.
Update your video card
buy a better monitor :)
buy a new one
