What are the benefits of choosing a widescreen flat panel computer monitor (example a 21 inch widescreen digital flat panel) over the regular flat panel monitor(example a 21 inch flat panel digital monitor). If within are any benefits, why do the widescreen monitors cost a little smaller quantity than the non-widescreens. Thank you.

While widescreens are (obviously) wider, remember that screen sizes are measured diagonally. So vitally, the equivielent of a 19" would be a 21" wide eyeshade, because when it's wide it's not as high-ceilinged. I know, it's confusing..
Wide screen are not as mass produce as the majority ones, so cost will always be superior.
The advantage is to viewpoint more (in peoples mind), also they are good at watching DVD or live TV broadcast within widescren, persoanlly I use 2 normal 19" TFT and prefer them to the broad ones.
Well, pretty much just a better blind ratio for playing movies. Also, there are nicer if you do any video/sound editing, 3d or pictographic design, stuff like that... there's more nouns to work with. I'm not sure if the extra cost is worth it for the average computer user though.
