I hooked my comuter (XP) up to the tv near a s video and i went thrugh display, settings, advanced, display tab and when i made my tv #1 i could lone see the screen and my tasks on the tv and a moment ago my background on the comuter and the other bearing around when the comuter was #1 any aid would be appreciated.

You necessitate to set the display to "clone." This way the display on the PC will be cloned (copied) to the TV peak. Your TV should be #2 and the PC should be #1.
If this is a laptop there are usualy switch short cuts that make it out put to differnt settings. try things lik fn + f4 of fn + f5 or one that looks close to it could be the one.
You need to step into "advanced" settings for you display adapter & adjust the "viewable" screen size for the TV.
Right in a minute it is overly magnified so you are unable to see adjectives of it.
Depending on the type of video card you have the settings are at hand for you to adjust ... just explore them adjectives & you will find them.
