Watch crt telly from 6' away, crt monitor also should be 6' - by same logic. Why do we work from smaller number than 2'

besides my telly is 21" & PC monitor solitary 15"

Answer:

it is because of the difference in resolution.

typically, a small screen monitor is set at 270 X 480 lines. at 6 feet the pixels are for a while blurry making the picture clear. If you looked at it from 2 feet away, it wold be indisputable grainy.

the computer monitor have a much higher resolution, 800x600 and up, here for the higher resolution is see clear close up. If you use a tv monitor for your computer monitor at 6 feet away, it sould be hugely clear.

Hope that explains it
You have to read the fine print - so you sit close.

Myth:

You can bring down your vision by viewing too close or contained by bad lighting.

Fact:

It does not concern.
Back in the daytime, tv sets emitted big amounts of radiation. CRT tubes today are designed to reduce radiation dramatically.
