What can I do near a laptop's eyeshade ( widescreen)?

Can I use it approaching a desktop monitor? or any idea?

Thanks..

Answer:

I assume you propose you have the eyeshade from a laptop, disconnected from the rest of it.

Not much you can do with it. If it works you might be capable of sell it for a few bucks on eBay.
If you are asking if you can use the eyeshade separate from the laptop - no. Generally the connection from the laptop eyeshade to the laptop motherboard is specific to the motherboard and does not use any standard connectors. Therefore there is no passageway to plug the video output of your desktop into the screen.

If you are asking if you can use the blind as part of the laptop - probably no. A dying out laptop might have video input which would allow you to use the eyeshade to accept video from your desktop but most lone have video output which would allow you to transport video to your desktop screen.
If it is not connected to the laptop... what would it stand on? i dont reckon it would work.
Anything is possible, it might just filch some reverse engineering (assuming the laptop is dead but the eyeshade is still good). I'm sure someone has thought to turn a broken laptop into a tv using a modded tv tuner or something. It probably would require massive amounts of modding, but it could work
