My monitor have to sit 24 inches back from the grand piano and I can't see it that far away. I want to purchase a larger monitor that I can see from 24 away. Is a widescreen any better than a regular (larger) monitor?

not for work, they are about alike. but for movies widescreen is better. have you tried to > font size, bring the resolution down so as to hold a lager view? adjectives these things can save you money next to your current monitor
