Recently my friend help me reinstall windows & drivers following a virus attack on the system-but very soon that everything's back to conventional the monitor appearance looks slightly odd-the colour sort of sick to look at,at things seem compressed-the full thing simply looks unusual,unlike how it was previously.Following a friend's advice i increased the peak resolution but nothing changed.

Well-yeah, there's the eyeshade resolution but that only widen the viewing capacity of the monitor. If you're discussion about appearance-as contained by wallpaper and all, that would be simple; Just budge to Display. If your icons aren't aligned-right click and click on 'Line-up icons'. If your monitor is suffering from discoloration-it would probably be some type of magnet in the neighbourhood it. It would probably be best if you keep adjectives magnetic objects away from the monitor-it can verbs the hardware device. And make sure your desktop's helpful. :P
