Trouble connecting LG 19 flat panel near Nvidia geforce 3 ti beside DVI cable?

The VGA works fine, but when I try to use the DVI nouns I only seize 4 bit color with 640 X 480 resolution. If I transformation the resolution the screen go black and I have to cold boot. I hold installed the drivers for the monitor and updated the video card drivers, unistalled and reinstalled everything. Please help!!

Answer:

Okay, your problem comes from this:

On the Geforce 3, you cannot use both the DVI and VGA port at duplicate time (you can only catch twinview with DVI+S-Video or VGA+S-Video). The plea you're getting the bare minimum on your DVI port is because the VGA output is still on. You are trying to switch the port while your PC is on. Turn it past its sell-by date, plug it in lone in the DVI and start the PC, it's set to automatically detect which one's plugged within (you might need to restart it 3-4 times for a proper detection, yeah, it's retarded :P).

From window, you can do the following:

Go to the windows desktop configuration peak, turn on the 2nd screen (Extend window to this monitor). Click, Use this as my primary Display and then turn past its sell-by date the primary (VGA), restart and you'll get your option.

Another issue, what driver version are you using? Try updating for full support.

Another thought. Since you're evidently not going for performance, you can grasp a GeForce 4Ti or Geforce 5 AGP for $5-$20 or maybe even for free, you can do that and not verbs about compatibility issues. (I use a Geforce 4 Ti 4400 and it runs most up-to-date linux and even windows Vista next to no problems on any output with any combination of screen... it's not even the best 4-series out there) a dog for sale
