erm does anyone know if any shops contained by the uk, like currys or comet, where on earth they sell VGA monitor connectors so i can connect 2 vga cable into one?
Answer:
DO NOT connect your Xbox to your PC
Looking at your previous question, you choice to use a single monitor for both your PC and your Xbox - not at the same time, without a doubt.
You will require (IMHO) a KVM switch.
These can be had for between lb10 & lb15, brand name sure what you buy comes with cable (two sets).
You will only be using the VGA connector, so it doesn't situation if the keyboard & mouse connectors are PS/2 or USB, but the former will be cheaper.
It would be prudent to get sure it has a button on it - if it trips solely by hot-key you'll hold trouble switching back from the Xbox.
Whilst purely monitor switches do exist, their prices appear to be in a different league.
I don't in reality have an Xbox, so it might be worth checking that this solution is viable - beside another question...
plus - I don't know if the coupled item below has a button on it...
Good Luck!
You would hold better luck at an electronics shop like Maplin.
See http://www.maplin.co.uk
Hopefully they will hold a shop near you.
to places to try. Maplins and PC World
KVM looks approaching the answer, but it also looks like you should avoid Belkin - see interconnect.
It looks like you might be capable of share other peripherals - keyboard, steering joystick, joystick - so a USB KVM might be the better option..
Google or Yahoo for: KVM XBOX for oodles tales of woe, and word of KVMs supporting DVI instead of VGA - if you've had a lottery win!
