The notebook is a Dell Dimension 8100, the monitor is a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB. The problem is that when I start the computer and turn on the monitor the screen go off when the Windows XP loading peak is finished. The green light stays on but the picture is gone completely. I enjoy to turn off the monitor, unhook the monitor's nouns to the pc and hook it rear legs up in establish for the picture to come up again. It's a massive hassle that's an even bigger irritation because of the fact that it's bright. I downloaded and installed a driver for it in hopes that it might remedy the problem, but it hasn't. The laptop works with other monitors short a problem. As for the monitor, I'm not certain. Any concept as to what the problem might be?

Generally the connection from the laptop eyeshade to the laptop motherboard is specific to the motherboard and does not use any standard connectors. Therefore there is no passageway to plug the video output of your desktop into the screen.
If you are asking if you can use the blind as part of the laptop - probably no. A dying out laptop might have video input which would allow you to use the eyeshade to accept video from your desktop but most lone have video output which would allow you to transport video to your desktop screen.

If you're thinking give or take a few getting a new monitor, dance with a flat eyeshade.

Actually to play games it is better to have a desktop computer moniter i.e. not flatscreen or LCD. The bigger memory and hard drive for this type of computer formulate it better for gaming.

I would get a crt monitor for at hand high energize rates. 20" monitors are super cheap. Two choices I would consider. Firstly check the connection where on earth the computer plugs into the monitor and where that cord plugs into the computer. Sometimes if that get jostled it will affect the colors.
second choice is to try and degauss your computer blind and go into your monitor. Alot of times you can adjust your monitor settings next to the buttons on the monitor. Fooling around with those or hitting a reset button might do the trick. Hope that help!
do you have speakers sitting close to the monitor? magnets can effect the color and if the speakers are sitting close plenty they mgiht do it. just degues it. look within your settings on the monitor. see if any one messed around with it. perchance set it to defualt settings.

Weird problem near my monitor turning sour?
Ok...first rotten..the computer and monitor was working fine. I get a new computer so I needed to give my computer to my Step-Daughter. So i unplugged everything took it into the other room and connected everything again. (I did hook it up to an exsisting monitor that be already there) turned it on..it booted up just fine, get halfway thru the Windows XP loading eyeshade, then the monitor purely turned off. As tho the computer be shut down. The computer was on and seem to be running just fine. So I hooked it rear up to the original monitor and I'm getting like peas in a pod thing. If i try to turn the monitor rear legs on physically, I just grasp the No Connection screen as if the PC is turned past its sell-by date. It does have an AGP card next to 2 connectors..I tried both, as well as the video connector on the mother board. Sill matching problem. I think I may call for to get into the bio's and reset something?

Weird Computer Problem, What's Going On?
So, I'm trying to unfurl a DVD movie that I ripped to my hard drive. I open it with Windows Media Player 11, which is the singular player I have that can embark on .IFO files. I have two monitors. When I try to play the DVD from Windows Media Player on the monitor that I hold extended my desktop to in full eyeshade mode, it doesn't work. Otherwise, it works in smaller viewing modes. I'm upset around this because my extended monitor is so much bigger than my 14" default laptop peak, so I want to watch the movie on that. I've tried updating adjectives my video drivers, but none of them have drivers available. Any adjectives suggestions would be great. Thanks.

As the other posters said, buy a fresh TFT monitor because the water kill the capacitors or the system board.
Dry your monitor in sunlight or next to hair dryer and if still it doesn't work later take it to professional technician if it worth cheaper to buy a latest TFT then dump your outdated monitor for new one.
Unplug it, and will to dry for a long time - a few days. Then try it out. If it doesn't work, it probably is not worth repairing. Do not try and repair it yourself unless you are a qualified engineer. Which you openly are not !
The best thing is to to continue it out as it will dry, if this just happen try and tile it so the water would come out equal place it went surrounded by, otherwise get a hairdryer...usually it take a couple of days if it is going to work again...(at least within may cases)

I just had to buy a vga extension cable.. since it have an input..
It will take you knowing what connector you own outputting from your computer... and what inputs are available on your tv.. and if there isn't a meeting it will take buying an intermediate conversion device if thats the travel case. If its an older tv you might stipulation a vga to component or RCA... the quality won't be that great but thats what you bring back for not getting the good stuff..

VGA to DVI Adapter does it craft the picture better?
i hold a regular vga plug on my 19" lcd monitor, if i were to grasp a dvi adpater would it improve the picture or does it in recent times convert it to be able to plug it into dvi?

These things are freshly converters I'm afraid. The best signal you can get is merely as good as the worst signal you enjoy in the secure. I looked into similar conversion before and here are all kind of converter boxes for hundreds of dollars that might say they filter signals or upscale things, but it's really not worth it and doesn't cause a huge difference.
The main efficacy to the adapters is if you have 1 VGA and 1 DVI port and want to run 2 VGA monitors.
If it make you feel any better, I switched to a DVI monitor finishing year and there isn't a huge difference between that and VGA.

Use ordinary marine and make sure at hand is no excess water. If within is some sort of difficult stain,then their are commercial cleaners available specialized for these screen
Dry or slightly damp microfiber cloths work extraordinarily well.

Wanting to know going on for adjectives LCD monitors and reception over the atmosphere HDTV?
I will be building a contemporary rig pretty soon and one of my goals (if it isn't prohibitively expensive) is to know how to watch OTA HDTV at my workstation. I am brand new to the HTPC screen and HD within general and am particularly confused as to whether or not I need an HD geared up specific monitor to watch over the atmosphere HD content.
I realize I need a tuner/capture card and a obedient graphics card but I am confused about the monitors. SO - if I acquire a good HD PCI tuner card does it thing if the monitor is not "HD ready"?
